Microsoft Launches Lumia 530 smartphone

MICROSOFT DEVICES on Wednesday unveiled the Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone @ INR 7350/- , a Windows Phone 8.1 device that it promotes as the most affordable Lumia handset to date.
The Nokia Lumia 530 follows in the footsteps of the Nokia Lumia 520 smartphone, which the Finnish phone company claimed last year was its most popular Windows Phone handset.
There’s a 4in 854×480 LCD touchscreen onboard smartphone, which while no improvement on the Lumia 520′s identical screen, comes powered by a faster quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8.1 mobile operating system.
The Nokia Lumia 530′s 5MP camera doesn’t quite match the Lumia 930′s 20MP sensor, but it might outperform its high-end end rival in terms of battery life, with its 1,430mAh battery offering 10 hours of talk time and 22 days on standby.
The Nokia Lumia 530 boasts just 4GB of internal storage, but this can be expanded by an additional 128GB via microSD card.
